Having spurned Minerva by selling a ship that wasn't all it was cracked up to be, he had a bounty placed on his head.
Current
In the time since his dealings with Minerva he managed to spend all of his money developing a new ship for the Imperials and trying to gain passage to an ice planet called Hoth.
